Heritage House wins two Alcuin Awards for book design

This week, the Alcuin Society announced the 2022 winners of their annual book award—the Alcuin Society Book Design Awards. Heritage House is overjoyed to share that two of our books have been recognized for excellence in design.

Out of the Fire: Metalworkers along the Salish Sea, designed by Lara Minja – Lime Design, won first place in the Prose Illustrated category.
The Flora and Fauna of Stanley Park, designed by Heritage House’s designer Setareh Ashrafologhalai, tied for third place in the Reference category.

The Alcuin Society Awards for Excellence in Book Design in Canada is the only national competition for book design in the country. The 2022 judges, Crispin Elsted, Natalie Olsen, and Jessica Sullivan, selected 35 winning titles from 187 submissions, from 8 provinces, 1 territory, and 74 publishers.
