The finalists for the fifth annual Indigenous Voices Awards (IVAs) were announced on May 6, 2022, and we are honoured to see White Raven by Teoni Spathelfer and Natassia Davies (illus.) is counted among them!
The Indigenous Voices Awards aims to honour the sovereignty of Indigenous creative voices, and support and nurture the work of Indigenous writers in lands claimed by Canada. The IVAs are a community focused award which supports Indigenous artistic communities by working to create opportunities for mentorship, professionalisation, and creative collaboration among applicants, jurors, and other members of the Indigenous artistic community when possible.
White Raven has been nominated in the category “Published Graphic Novels, Comics, and Illustrated Books”.
